Washington DC Training, April 8th, 9th, 10th 2013

Untitled-11

This adapted version of the training course, ‘Essential Skills for Effective Partnering’, will be held in Washington DC , in partnership with CDC Development Solutions.  It will run from mid-day on April 8th to mid-day on April 10th 2013, covering all the main elements of our full course.

It builds the skills and knowledge needed for effective multi-stakeholder collaboration and is for staff and consultants from all sectors. The course can optionally lead to participants gaining a Certificate in Partnering Practice.

TPI runs a range of training programmes designed to develop skills, understanding and knowledge for effective cross-sector partnering. Courses are based on the findings of over 20 years of experience which has allowed us to systematise the essential processes of partnering and develop practical tools to help all sectors collaborate and implement effective partnerships.

All of our trainings balance robust theory with highly interactive, experiential learning through role play, ‘serious games’ and peer-to-peer exchange.

“A fun, interactive and participatory course, challenging personal perceptions of partnership, while motivating for a new and holistic vision for partnership, where all actors have a voice and interests are shared”.

“A participatory and engaging course, delivered by trainers with a great expanse and depth of knowledge”.

As well as offering open training courses, we also offer tailor made courses to organisations and partnerships. Contact us if you would like to discuss your or your organisation’s professional needs.

Are you in need of any real world case study examples? I’ve created a multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary collaborative to connect the environment to the economy at a landscape scale. This group involves the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Patagonia, Walmart, Interface, Wall Street folks, conservation NGOs and other social, financial and environmental entrepreneurs. Let me know as I work in the DC area.

    Thanks – Joe Starinchak

      Hi Joe,

Thanks for your comment. We would definitely be interested in talking with you to ensure we keep our content as up-to-date as possible. One of our DC-based Associates, who is running the course, would be the best person to talk to. If you email info@thepartneringinitiative.org I will put you in touch.

      Many thanks,

      Jessica McGhie
