Business at the 2nd GPEDC High Level Meeting

Nairobi, 28th November – 1st December

The Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation provides a unique platform to advance the effectiveness of development efforts by all sectors of society, to deliver results that are long-lasting and contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. At the end of November in Nairobi, it will host its second High Level Meeting. Business leaders from around the world will participate.

The HLM2 offers business leaders an opportunity to meet with heads of state and government, ministers, heads of major international organisations and leaders from local government, parliaments, philanthropic foundations, civil society, trade unions and academia to set priorities for improving development co-operation in the 2030 era.

It provides an opportunity to showcase examples of successful business investments in sustainable development, examine what constrains business from scaling up its contribution to development and agree concrete actions to unleash the power of business as a partner in sustainable development.

The events most relevant to business will be:

29 Nov Business Forum
A vibrant, interactive space to demonstrate, explore and discuss critical issues around the role of business as an essential development partner and network.
30 Nov High Level Ministerial Segment including:-

  • High Level Interactive Dialogue: Unleashing the Potential of Development Co-operation to Attract Private Investment
